Centrally located in Carrollton, TX, Cobra Trading, Inc. is a member of FINRA, NFA and SIPC. Our firm is currently looking for a motivated individual to fill our new position as a Senior Sales Specialist. This position is a sales role and will be responsible for initiating, contacting and communicating with prospective clients looking to trade stocks and options with Cobra Trading.

Description

The primary focus of this role will be sales. This will include exhausting existing sales leads as well as identifying and developing new business. A successful candidate will have natural people skills, a drive to continuously sell and a working knowledge of US equity and option markets (day trading knowledge/experience a plus).

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitoring all aspects of key competitors, analyzing their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and know how to communicate our competitive advantage
• Create and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, lead groups and other sources to generate new and referral business.
• Proactively identify and initiate new sales pipeline opportunities
• Being able to work to against deadlines to achieve sales targets
• Provide prospect feedback to management to help guide Cobra’s strategy
• Engaging in industry forums/events to represent the company where necessary
• Create and present compelling value propositions that are aligned with client needs to sell new products and services
• Conduct dynamic presentations and product demonstrations at various points in the sales cycle
• Use Cobra’s CRM, reporting tools, and Back Office Admin to proactively manage sales pipeline
• Coordinate initiatives with Cobra’s management, compliance, support, and implementation teams
• Help manage relationships with affiliates and partners
• Participate in marketing discussions and initiatives
• Attend tradeshows and other events as required
• May be requested to engage industry organizations on a local and national level to increase Cobra Trading, Inc. exposure.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
• Series 7 and 63
• Excellent prospecting, communication, presentation (verbal & written) and networking skills
• Someone with several years of experience in sales, trading, or support, ideally in the US Equities and Options markets.
• Someone with a proven track record of success in a performance-based compensation sales role
• Expert understanding of the Retail Broker/dealer space and Electronic Trading
• Subject matter expertise on EMS/OMS functionality (specifically DAS Trader Pro and/or Sterling Trader Pro) is a plus.
• Must have experience cold calling (phone) and email prospecting
• Self-motivated and driven go-getter with the ability to work independently
• Being able to influence individuals as well as groups on phone, via written communication and in meetings
• Must have the ability and willingness to travel
• In addition to a base salary, this role is eligible for our variable incentive compensation plan. Individual salary will be reflective of job-related knowledge, skills and experience. All roles are typically eligible for inclusion in our Cobra benefits program, more information & details will be provided at time of offer.

Hours expected for this position:

7:30 am to 4:30 pm M-F, with market holidays off and PTO days available

Requirements and Qualifications of Position

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Series 7 and 63 licenses (required or obtained)
• Motivated and energetic personality
• Knowledge of trading platforms
• Willingness to conduct sales calls and prospect follow up
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced and time sensitive environment
• Excellent customer service skills

Prefer (but not required)

• Familiarity with Level II trading software
• Trading experience or previous trade support
